The Home of Theatre that Dares to be Different

How it all started…
Jules and I were sitting in a park one day, watching the geese searching the
grass for bread crumbs, and young lovers searching their bottoms for goose
droppings picked up while sitting on the grass.
Somehow we got onto the topic of weddings. While we both agreed that by and
large weddings are lovely affairs, we also thought that unless you’re the bride
and groom (or at least a member of the wedding party) the day can be a bit long
and boring. This is especially true if you don’t know many of the people there,
and everyone can be caught wondering what to do during that “dead time”
between the service and the reception, when you may have two to four hours to
kill in a strange place far from home.
So I said, “If I ever get married, I think that I’ll have a short play after the service,
to entertain my guests while the pictures are being taken.”
To which Jules replied: “ That’s a wonderful idea! I bet lots of couples would love
to have a play performed at their wedding.”
And thus, Hopeless Romantics was born. A few months later we had our first
wedding booking—our own!

Hopeless Romantics is the touring division of Grinder Productions. We take small, family-friendly shows to weddings, reunions and other special events anytime, anywhere. The Heart of Eden
A delightful romantic musical comedy about
two strangers who meet by chance in a city
park. While the sparks fly from their first
awkward encounter it quickly becomes
clear that they are two souls who are both in
need of what they other has to give.
A short, cute little show about two people
who fall in love, The Heart of Eden is brief,
peppy, and full of laughter and joy.
Running Time: Approximately 30 minutes
Performance Fee: $1500
Hitchin’ at the Junction
This show is take-off on old-time
melodrama, with a hapless hero, an evil
villain and a lovely young girl—who has
just been tied to the railroad tracks. Who
will cheer the hero on to come and save
the day—why the audience, of course!
Hitchin’ is the perfect show for the whole
family and anyone who loves non-stop
mayhem—don`t forget to cheer and boo!
Running Time: Approximately 60 minutes
Performance Fee: $3000
Love Notes: A Musical Odyssey
Vincent is a clown who is looking for love.
But being a clown (even one who doesn’t
wear make-up), he isn’t very attractive to
the ladies, so he is also very lonely. This
show is about his adventures one night
when he visits a local hotspot to try his luck
at a “speed dating” event. As it turns out
the women he meets are all very unique,
and very different from what Vincent
thought they would be like. Perhaps
Vincent has more to learn about women
than he realizes.
This show is an extravaganza of music,
movement and honest human emotion. It
is a world unto itself, without voices, where
Vincent, like all the clowns about him, has
no voice, and can only express himself
through his actions, and the soundtrack
that follows him through life.
Running Time: Approximately 90 minutes
Performance Fee: $4500
